Responsibilities: The Coordinator of Capital Works has three primary responsibilities.

1) The first relates to the planning and realization of all capital projects intended for use by the Group for the purposes of Regional Governance.  This includes the identification of all Group Capital needs, participation and support to secure the necessary funding and the actual realization of the projects. The capital requirements relate to all Group Governance responsibilities including General Government Operations, Justice, and Police, Regional and Local CHRD office operations as well as any training facilities required for regional purposes.

2) The second key responsibility is the development and annual updating of the Overall Group Capital requirements or plan for the implementation of the assumed obligations of the Group pursuant to the New Relationship Agreements with Canada and Quebec and all other related agreements. This includes more particularly the assumed obligations for Essential Sanitation Services, Community Centers, Fire Protection facilities in the communities, local band facilities for local governance purposes as well as other related assumed obligations.

3) The third key responsibility concerns facilitating and coordinating the development of housing programs in the communities.
