Cartier Heritage Foundation

Mission

The Cartier Heritage Foundation bridges with Montreal’s youth and families in order to improve their quality of life. The foundation lends a helping hand in developing personal and social accomplishments.

Values

We believe in the meaning of Compassion, Unity,Devotion and Wonderment.

Compassion

Compassion begins with understanding others. It is the capacity of being able to slip into someone else’s shoes, even only for an instant.

Unity

Accomplishment and success come from accompaniment.  Each and every person ads to our success and accomplishment.
Unity through group action made up by volunteers, young and old, men and women, proud Montrealers who look to their environment with a sense of sharing with their fellowman.

Devotion

It is pointless to put energy into something if the heart and soul do not lead the way. Devotion and dedication to the cause are the root to the action. To give to a cause and never lose focus, to persist…

Wonderment

Wonderment belongs to the young and the old. It is the sparkle in the eye, the star-like qualities that light up the soul. Wonderment is what transforms a normal situation into an unforgettable moment… A memory to be remembered.

History

In 1996, Louise O’Sullivan Boyne founded the Cartier Heritage Foundation to assist children in need and their families.

Today, the foundation has already helped over three thousand people and will continue to meet Montreal’s ever growing needs.

The foundation was also the brainstorm of the 1st organization committee at the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) to make golf win for brain tumour research.

Also, the foundation takes part in several fundraising campaigns profiting research and helping women without shelter.

For the past three years, we have been organizing an auction in order to help improving the wellbeing and to bring happiness to children from different schools in Quebec.

Among her many activities, Louise O’Sullivan Boyne has been :

  • Elected as Municipal Councillor for the City of Montreal from 2002 to 2005
  • Member of the Executive Committee from 2002 to 2004 responsible for the Business Affaires Portfolio, the Social Development Portfolio, including welfare role and la condition feminine
  • President of the Regroupement des Femmes Cadres du Québec
  • Patron of Honour of Le Chaînon (a shelter for women in need)
  • Patron of Honour of the Pointe-à-Callières Museum
  • Member of the board of directors of Geordie Productions and the Studio de Musique Ancienne de Montréal
Partner with the Grands Ballets Canadiens.
